Fergus pricing in the UK in 2026, and what you get for it

Fergus's UK pricing page lists two plans: Essentials from £39 per full user a month and Pro from £45 per full user a month. On top of that you can add timesheet users from £12 a month each, and contractor users at £2 per user per day, charged only on the days they're active. It's month to month with no lock-in, and there's a 14-day trial of Essentials with no card.

So a sole trader pays £39 to £45 a month. Three people in the office on Pro pay £135. Everything else depends on how many people need a login, which is the whole point of this post.

The Fergus UK price list

ItemPriceHow it's charged
EssentialsFrom £39Per full user, per month
ProFrom £45Per full user, per month
Timesheet userFrom £12Per user, per month
Contractor user£2Per user, per active day

Prices checked October 2026 on Fergus's UK pricing page, with the month-to-month terms on Fergus's scheduling page. Prices change, so check before you sign up.

A few things to know before you do the sums:

  • Some Fergus pages show the timesheet user at £11 rather than £12. We've used £12.
  • Some Fergus UK pages (this one, for example) and Capterra UK still show Essentials from £35. They look like older prices. Fergus's own pages showing both suggests a recent rise, but we couldn't find when it happened.
  • We couldn't confirm whether the prices include VAT. If they're ex VAT and you're not VAT-registered, you'd pay 20% on top, so ask.
  • We couldn't find an annual plan, an annual discount or a free plan.

What each plan gets you

Fergus describes Essentials as the plan for smaller teams, and Pro as adding advanced job costing, reporting and automation (Fergus). Scheduling is on every paid plan. Support, onboarding resources and help documentation come at no extra cost.

Capterra's listing says Pro adds business reporting, checklists, files and photos, GPS tracking, health and safety, purchase orders, tasks and tiered pricing (Capterra). The health and safety module lets you build your own form templates, hazard templates and incident records (Fergus help centre). We couldn't find ready-made UK RAMS or COSHH templates.

Fergus's AI tools launched on 13 September 2026. Fergus Assistant builds and reviews quotes, and Fergus AI prepares quotes, invoices and follow-ups and flags missing time and un-invoiced work (Fergus AI). It's a proper feature. We couldn't find whether it costs extra on either plan, so ask before you count on it.

Worked costs for real team shapes

These are illustrative sums from the list prices above, per month, before any VAT. We've assumed timesheet users can be added on either plan; check that with Fergus.

TeamFergus EssentialsFergus Pro
1 full user£39£45
1 full + 3 timesheet users£75£81
3 full users£117£135
2 full + 6 timesheet users£150£162
5 full users£195£225
10 full users£390£450

Here's how one row works. Two full users and six timesheet users on Pro: (2 × £45) + (6 × £12) = £90 + £72 = £162 a month, or £1,944 a year.

Contractor users sit on top. Say a plasterer and a sparky each log 8 days with you in a month: 2 × 8 × £2 = £32 that month. A quiet month costs less, which is a fair way to charge.

How that compares with EstiMate

EstiMate charges per business, not per user. Free is £0 with no time limit (3 jobs a month, watermarked PDFs). EstiMate is £15.99 a month and Pro is £39.99 a month, whether you've got one person on site or ten. On Pro, workers get a job by QR code or link through Site Crew, and log time, expenses, photos and diary entries without a full account. No contracts, cancel any time, and the price shown is what you pay, with a VAT receipt for every payment. Full details are on our pricing page.

Take the owner-plus-three-lads team from the table. Fergus Pro is £81 a month, or £972 a year, and Fergus Essentials is £75 a month, or £900 a year. EstiMate Pro is £39.99 a month, or £479.88 a year. That's £492.12 a year less than Fergus Pro and £420.12 less than Essentials, and it doesn't change when you take on a fourth.

Now the honest bit. Separate team seats with roles are on EstiMate Corp, from £249 a month. If five people in your office each need their own login, Fergus Essentials at £195 or Pro at £225 costs less than Corp. At ten full users, Fergus Pro is £450 against Corp from £249. So if lots of office staff need their own logins, do the sums both ways. If it's mainly you pricing and running jobs with a crew on site, EstiMate Pro is the smaller bill by a distance.

The money also buys different things. EstiMate's £15.99 plan includes contracts with e-signatures, variations, invoices with Stripe card payments and automatic chasing, RAMS and COSHH, and the Accounts tab. Pro adds the AI quote writer, AI take-off from drawings, retention, valuations and snagging.

What the Fergus price doesn't cover

  • Accounting software. Fergus is built to pass invoices, contacts and payments across to Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks (Fergus integrations); we couldn't find built-in P&L or VAT figures in Fergus itself. Used that way, the accounts package is a second subscription. EstiMate's Accounts tab gives you P&L, VAT return figures and the CIS register. It doesn't file to HMRC, and many firms still keep an accountant.
  • CIS. We couldn't find CIS deductions in Fergus's help centre, and its invoicing settings article points you to your accounting package for tax adjustments (invoicing settings).
  • Contract signing. We couldn't find a build-contract feature with e-signature in Fergus. If you send contracts for signature, ask Fergus, or budget for another tool.

Price rises: what reviewers say

The most common complaint we found in Fergus reviews on Trustpilot and Capterra UK is price. Reviewers report prices changing every 6 to 12 months, features moving to higher tiers after they'd signed up, and extra costs on top of Pro. Those are individual reviews, not a published policy, but it's worth asking Fergus how long your price is fixed.

For balance, Fergus scores 4.6 out of 5 from 155 reviews on Capterra.

On our side, Pro members who joined before August 2026 keep their old price.

Is Fergus worth the money?

For a service firm with a busy diary and a Xero habit, it can be: scheduling on every plan, cheap timesheet users, day-rate contractor users and a live accounts sync. For a builder who also needs contracts, CIS and the accounts in one place, you could end up paying Fergus plus an accounts package plus whatever you use for contracts. Our Fergus vs EstiMate comparison goes through the features, and per-user pricing explained shows how this plays out across other apps.

What to do next

  1. Write down how many people need a full login, how many only log hours, and how many subbie days you run in a normal month.
  2. Price that on Fergus's page and on ours, using the sums above.
  3. Try both. Fergus gives you 14 days. EstiMate's free plan has no time limit, and Pro has a free trial when you upgrade.
